Vacancy: Engineering Apprentice
Are you looking to start and develop your career in Engineering? We have now an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Apprentice available!
Working within our experience and talented Maintenance Team and reporting to the Lead Engineer, you will support the maintenance team to safely maintain all site equipment, develop improvement and preventive measures in accordance to engineering standards.
This role is a development role, and as such the completion of an advanced engineering apprenticeship (Level 3 BTEC and NVQ) is a significant component.
Key responsibilities
To support the maintenance team in the skilled execution of planned, reactive & corrective mechanical maintenance activities.
Working with the Maintenance Team Leaders to problem solve and effectively identify work priorities, to ensure that customers and stakeholders are supported in their daily operational needs.
Identify and carry out plant modification work to help enhance both plant safety and efficiency.
Cooperate with reliability Engineer to continually drive our proactive engineering programme, participate in failure investigations, identify and report back reliability issues within the plant.
Complete all apprentice assignments to the required level on time.
Are you the ideal candidate?
You will have:
Grade C or above in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
Preferably grade C or above in GCSE Science
Previous experience chemical process industry would be advantages
Demonstrate excellent numerical/maths skills and use of Microsoft Office
Team player able to support other disciplines if required
Strong communications and interpersonal skills
Health and Safety awareness
Good attention to detail
Be practically minded and enjoy working with your hands
Due to the nature of this role applicants must be non-smokers, have been free from nicotine products for at least 3 months, and be 18 years or older as of 1st September 2018. Anticipated start date of the training is September 2018.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
