Description
Key responsibilities
Financial Performance & Reporting
Ensure Transformation benefits are realized in the general ledger
Ensure Transformation value is integrated appropriately into operational budgets and financial forecasts
Prepare, communicate, and report on Transformation financial progress to business and to the broader organization
Work closely with Corporate Finance and Workplace Solutions team to prepare reports and positioning for ELT and senior leaders
Prepare reports and presentation materials for Head of Transformation, Steering Committee and other senior leaders on progress of Transformation against goals
Transformation Expense Oversight
Formalize and oversee Transformation budget requirements
Implement controls and enforce policies related to initiative budgets
Coordinate with strategic partners, including IT and Corporate Finance, to ensure resource allocations are appropriately tracked and reported at the initiative level
Initiative Valuation & Approval
Validate that transformation benefits link to actual financial improvement
Coach initiative owners and work stream leads on initiative value and key performance metrics
Sign off on financial impacts of initiatives
Approve initiatives through stage gates
Apply business judgment to both eliminate improperly valued initiatives and potential overlaps while also finding areas for improved value
Validate initiative impact tracking and financial benefits
Characteristics and Experience
Outstanding analytical skills and financial knowledge
Understanding on drivers of profitability within business
Great communication skills ? the ability to synthesize and explain analyses to senior stakeholders and coach initiative owners
An ability to work with and challenge Senior Leaders
A good role model for the business, including "business and value focus, not audit" and "bias to action"
Supervisory Role
The Head of Workplace Transformation Finance will supervise 1 employee (or contractor), but may at times need to resource and manage additional finance resources for periods where there is an acute need for finance intervention.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree
Advanced degree or designation preferred: MBA, MSF, CPA or FSA
10+ years of work experience involving accounting, finance, pricing and/or complex budgeting
Ability to communicate complex topics in a summarized, simplified manner
Excellent organizational and analytical abilities
Sound business judgment
Strong verbal and written communication (presentation) skills
Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
